Catherine Popesco, creator and owner of the international jewelry and accessory company La Vie Parisienne, is a Paris native and the leading force reviving the elegance and grace of France's golden Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.
Rambling about Paris, Catherine discovered a treasure trove of stampings– many over 200 years old in the old factories and workshops of Paris. Most of these gems were originally designed by celebrated artists and shining lights of their era, such as Lalique, Mucha, Galle and Picasso.
With her vivid imagination, Catherine uses the invaluable treasures of French artistic heritage and style to create an exquisite collection of handmade jewelry and decorative objects.
Manufactured at Au Bout de Reves, a workshop Catherine herself built on a vineyard in the heart of the Loire Valley, France, each piece is rendered from the original molds and stamping, hand set with Swarovski crystals and finally painstakingly enameled by her team of highly skilled artisans.
La Vie Parisienne pieces are made of "old silver" a unique French process of laying sterling silver or 14K gold plate over a cooper base, By following traditional French techniques the artisans allow each piece to exhibit the intricate details of these historical designs. La Vie Parisienne presents a timeless collection that reflects the art and culture of the past and holds a valuable place in the present.
